- One face, looking straight at the camera
- Daylight on your face, not behind you
- Hair away from the forehead
- No sunglasses or heavy filter
What face shape do I have? The answer is a set of ratios. Take a photo straight on, or choose one you already have. The detector finds 478 points on your face, measures the hairline, forehead, cheekbones, jaw and chin, then names the shape those proportions describe.

How it works
Three steps, no upload
The photo stays on your device. The measurement runs in your browser, and nothing is uploaded unless you choose to save the measurements to an account. You can also see the lines drawn on the photo, so the result is not a black box.
- 1
Take or upload a front-facing photo
Look straight at the camera with your hair away from your forehead. Daylight in front of you works better than a lamp above your head.
- 2
Let the model map your face
It places 478 points on your face in a few seconds, right in your browser. Good, even light and a level head give the most precise reading.
- 3
Read the shape and the ratios
Your face shape is free. The full analysis adds your measurements, the ratios behind the shape and 15 picks for hair, glasses, brows and beards.
Questions
Face shape detector FAQ
Is the photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The face landmark model runs in your browser and the photo never leaves the device. The tool can save the measurements to your account if you ask it to, but not the image.
How accurate is the face shape result?
The measurements are geometric and repeatable, and the classifier uses published ratio bands. Real faces often sit between two shapes, so the result also names the closest alternative and a confidence level.
What photo works best?
A straight-on photo with even daylight, no sunglasses, hair off the forehead, and your whole head in the frame. A selfie taken in a mirror is fine if the phone is not covering your face.
Can I use a photo with makeup?
Yes. Makeup changes the color reading on the color tools, but the face shape comes from landmarks, which makeup does not move.
